What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Related technologies, such as local storage, do a similar job. This page covers both.
What we use
We keep this short on purpose.
- Essential. Sign-in session, security tokens and your cookie choice. The site does not work without them and they cannot be switched off.
- Preferences. Light or dark theme, dismissed announcements and your default output language.
- Analytics. Aggregate page and feature usage, only if you accept them. No cross-site tracking and no advertising profiles.
On this static build the only items stored are local-storage keys beginning with qb-: your theme, your cookie choice, and any drafts you generate.
No advertising cookies
We do not run advertising in the product and we do not embed advertising trackers on this site. Nobody pays us to place anything in your browser.
Managing your choices
Use the cookie banner to accept everything or essentials only. You can change your mind by clearing site data in your browser, which resets the banner. Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, though blocking essential ones will stop sign-in from working.
Third-party cookies
Embedded content such as fonts or video players may set their own cookies. Where we use them, they are listed in our processor list, available on request.
